FYMH
Members

Since our launch in September 2024, FYMH has grown organically to include 100+ individuals representing 50+ funders focused across the U.S. Our work is guided by a funder Steering Committee. The community is a mix of national, state, and local funders, as well as high-net-wealth individuals and corporate foundations. Funder members give a broad range of grant sizes from tens of thousands into the multi-millions, and have varying degrees of focus on youth mental health. They come to the issue from across sectors — from education to health to child welfare and juvenile justice to tech to youth and families. Many focus on specific sub-populations of young people experiencing disparities in outcomes. Funders across issues and sizes all have a critical role to play.

What our members fund

FYMH explores investment and co-investment opportunities in cross-cutting issue areas including:

Shoring up upstream mental health promotion and prevention

Embedding mental health supports where youth already are

Supporting accessible, culturally responsive care

Strengthening clinical care and navigation

Stabilizing youth in moments of crisis and ensuring continuity of care across systems

FYMH funders work across programs, systems, and communities to drive lasting, equitable change. Their strategies span policy advocacy, systems change, narrative change, evidence-building, direct services, innovation, and power-building.
